Hand numbness is the quiet ride killer. You start a descent with good speed and clean lines, then your thumbs tingle, your pinky goes dull, and you catch yourself shaking your hands out mid trail. It is common on mountain bikes because your hands are your primary contact point for braking, steering, and absorbing trail buzz. The good news is most numbness comes from setup and habit, not fitness, and you can fix it without buying a new bike.
